The Real Promo Insert for Jaco's Debut

This is the actual promo that was sent out with Jaco's debut album, which this headline:

Listen to the bass played the way it should be.
Take notice of Jaco, a new musical pioneer in the old world tradition.

And the rest of the text...

Jaco is an amazement even to the usual everyday common garden variety type genius musician. Where he begins is where most artists' a priori musical creativeness stops. Suddenly, you become aware of the bass guitar which for an eternity had been relegated to a supportive role. Through his arrangements and his compositions, Jaco in no uncertain terms takes the lead and is indeed showing the way toward what every good musician strives for: a blend of positive creative innovation with superb technical ability.

On this recording, guest artists include Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Hubert Laws, Lennie White, Sam & Dave, David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros., Narada Michael Walden, and Don Alias. Throughout, you get the feeling that you're listening to something very special, and you are. Herbie Hancock talks about Jaco in the liner notes of the Lp and agrees that fine musicianship, refreshing original material, and arrangements combined with good vibes all around have made for phenomenal music.

Be sure to check out the alternate concept for Jaco's promo.
