The best song I can play is also one I've written. I wrote it for someone very special to me and tried to make it as beautiful as possible. Therefore, it is my best song.
The first song I learned was some jazz chart in jazz band, or Beatles tunes. Don't recall.
First Jaco song was an attempt at the head to "Continuum."

My first Jaco song (though it's not TECHNICALLY Jaco's song) was the Chicken, but the first JACO Jaco song that I learned was the same as Sunburstbasser. And the best song I can play is without a doubt Victor Wooten's "You Can't Hold No Groove". The first time I heard it (live with a drummer) I said as soon as the song was over: I have to learn that song!!! so I did, it took me almost a year but I did.

| My first Jaco song was "Slang." I play "You Can't Hold No Groove" pretty well, but my best is probably Teen Town (on a fretted). The first song I ever learned was "Brainstew" by Greenday. |

I don't play songs. I play bass.
There are some songs for which I enjoy bass-playing more than for some other songs. I especially enjoy playing 16251 RnB.
I don't write songs. Sometimes if something comes out really cool, I write down the music.
Someday, when I become Emperor, singer-songwriters will have to choose between a blindfold or a last cigarette. Damned if I'd let them have both.

The best song I can play is Amerika. Not the most technical bay far... but boy oh boy does it sound beautiful in my medley of Slang-Portrait of tracy-Continuum-The beginning of the Joni Mitchell Solo(What is that called?) and then to finish it off... Amerika. the most beautiful bass piece ever performed!
Oh by the way, Which one's Pink? |
